SereneFlow Privacy Policy

SereneGuard ("SereneGuard", "we", "us", or "our") operates SereneFlow, a fitness and general-wellness app that provides guided pelvic-floor exercise for adults. This Privacy Policy explains what information SereneFlow collects, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you.

SereneFlow is not a medical service or medical device. However, some information you choose to provide — such as your postpartum stage and pelvic-floor practice history — can be sensitive health-related or consumer health data under certain US state laws. We handle that information as described below.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address, display name, account identifier, and an optional profile photo. If you select a photo from your camera or photo library, we receive only the image you choose; we do not scan the rest of your library.
• Fitness and wellness information: the postpartum stage you select, practice check-ins and minutes, session progress, reminder preferences, and your training-safety acknowledgement.
• Community information: posts, replies, questions, answers, likes, reports, and blocked-user selections. Content you publish is visible to other SereneFlow users together with the display name and profile photo associated with your account.
• Usage information: account-linked events such as opening the app, starting or completing a session, reading an article, or using community features.
• Device and notification information: device platform, operating-system and app version information, and, if you allow notifications, a push-notification token.

We do not collect clinical records, diagnoses, provider or insurance records, precise location, contacts, microphone audio, or biometric templates. We are not connected to your healthcare provider or insurer.

Sources of information

We collect information directly from you when you create an account, select a postpartum stage, complete a check-in, change settings, upload a photo, or participate in the community. We also generate limited usage and technical information when you use SereneFlow. We do not purchase health-related information from data brokers.

How we use information

• Provide and secure your account and synchronize your settings and progress.
• Apply safety gates and organize fitness content based on the stage you select.
• Deliver guided sessions, practice history, reminders, and notifications you request.
• Operate and moderate community features, including reports, blocking, and removal of content that violates our rules.
• Measure reliability and understand how features are used so we can maintain and improve SereneFlow.
• Prevent abuse, investigate security incidents, comply with law, and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell personal information or consumer health data. We do not use it for targeted advertising, third-party advertising, or cross-app tracking.

Consumer health data

Depending on where you live, the postpartum stage, practice history, safety acknowledgement, and related fitness activity described above may be treated as consumer health data. We collect this information from you and from your use of SereneFlow solely to provide the fitness and wellness features you request, apply safety gates, maintain your progress, and improve service reliability.

We do not sell consumer health data or share it with advertisers or data brokers. It is processed by the service providers described below only as needed to operate SereneFlow. You may withdraw consent to future collection of optional consumer health data by changing available settings, stopping use of the relevant feature, deleting your account, or contacting us. Withdrawing consent may prevent features that depend on that information from working.

Service providers and disclosures

We use Google Firebase for authentication, database hosting, file storage, service messaging, and push-notification delivery. Apple may process information needed to distribute the iOS app and deliver notifications through Apple Push Notification service. These providers process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy obligations. We require service providers that receive personal information from us to protect it consistently with this Policy and applicable law.

We may also disclose limited information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the public, investigate fraud or security incidents, enforce our Terms, or complete a corporate transaction subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards.

Retention and deletion

Account information, settings, fitness progress, and community content are generally retained while your account is active. When you delete your account in SereneFlow, deletion is initiated for your account, profile, check-ins, stored profile photo, and top-level posts and questions you authored. Replies or answers embedded in another user's discussion may require additional processing; contact us if you want a specific contribution removed.

Limited account-linked security, moderation, and operational records may be retained only as reasonably necessary to prevent abuse, investigate incidents, comply with legal obligations, and maintain service integrity. Deidentified or aggregated statistics that can no longer reasonably be linked to you may be retained. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until they are overwritten through normal backup cycles.

Your choices and rights

• Access and know: request confirmation of whether we process your information and obtain a copy, including applicable information about disclosures.
• Correct: edit your display name, photo, stage, and reminder settings in the app, or ask us to correct other inaccurate information.
• Delete: initiate account deletion in SereneFlow through Profile → Delete account, or ask us to delete specific information.
• Withdraw consent: stop future collection or processing of optional consumer health data, subject to the functional limitations described above.
• Appeal: if we deny a privacy request, reply to our decision with the subject "Privacy appeal" and explain why you believe it should be reconsidered.

To exercise a right, use the in-app controls or email service@thesereneguard.com from the address associated with your account with the subject "Privacy request". We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity. We aim to respond without undue delay and within 45 days, unless applicable law permits an extension. Requests are provided free of charge except where applicable law permits a reasonable fee for manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive requests. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Security and data location

Information is processed and stored using Google Firebase services in the United States. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system can guarantee absolute security. If a legally reportable breach occurs, we will provide notices required by applicable law.

Fitness and wellness status

SereneFlow is a general fitness and wellness service, not a medical device or healthcare provider. We do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and SereneFlow content is not medical advice. We are not a HIPAA covered entity, but we still protect health-related information under this Policy and other applicable privacy laws.

Children

SereneFlow is for adults 18 and older; creating an account requires confirming you are 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this Policy as SereneFlow changes. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice before material changes when required by law.
